Russian troops struck 3,217 times in the Donetsk region yesterday, February 6, and civilian objects were damaged.
This was reported by the Donetsk regional police, Ukrinform reports.
“The police recorded 3,217 Russian strikes on the front line and the residential sector. The enemy focused fire on 2 settlements: the town of Kostyantynivka and the village of Ivanopillia. 6 civilian objects were destroyed, including 4 residential buildings,” the statement said.
It is noted that Kostiantynivka withstood six attacks. The invaders dropped four FAB-250 bombs on the city, which landed on the outskirts. Artillery and drone strikes damaged two private homes and an infrastructure facility.
In Ivanopillia, two households and a shop were damaged by artillery shelling.
Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk regional military administration, said in a Telegram that four houses and an industrial area in Siversk were also damaged over the past day, as well as an administrative building in Lyman, seven houses in Zakitne, and one house in Yampol.
The police and the SSU opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (war crimes) of the Criminal Code.
As reported, the Donetsk region is under constant shelling by Russian troops, with the Russian army killing and injuring civilians almost daily, destroying homes, businesses, energy, gas and other infrastructure facilities. Donetsk region has the longest frontline, about 300 kilometers.
