Ukraine’s Defense Forces of Ukraine have shot down 81 Russian drones throughout the night while 31 have gone from radar.
That’s according to the Air Force press service, Ukrinform reports.
From 19:00 on Thursday, February 6, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 112 Shahed-type kamikaze UAVs and decoy drones of various types, launched from Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, Bryansk, and Shatalovo.
The air raid was repelled by Ukraine’s aviation, air defense capabilities, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups.
As of 09:00 on Friday, February 7, a total 81 drones were confirmed to have been shot down over Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
Thirty-one enemy decoy drones caused no damage on the ground.
As a result of the attack, damage was inflicted in Sumy, Kyiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, in the Brovary district, Kyiv region, as a result of the attack by Russian drones, a fire broke out in a garage.
