The French Foreign Ministry has confirmed that a Weimar+ foreign affairs ministerial will be held in Paris on February 12, where the “American delegation” is to participate, but its final format is yet to be finalized.
This was announced at today’s briefing by the French Foreign Ministry spokesman, Christophe Lemoine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“This conference, which will take place two days ahead of the Munich Security Conference, will offer an opportunity to discuss the efforts being made by European nations, including France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine, to strengthen our support in order to put Ukraine in the best position ahead of peace talks,” he specified.
According to the spokesman, the question of who exactly will represent the United States at the meeting is “in the process of being determined,” and the final format is “currently being finalized.”
Earlier, the French Foreign Ministry confirmed that the meeting was scheduled for February 12, which will be a “continuation of discussions on Ukraine” in the “Weimar +” format. It was reported that France, Germany, and Poland would take part, as well as other states that expressed a desire to join.
As reported, the U.S. President’s Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kellogg, announced he would attend this year’s Munich Security Conference (MSC) to talk about Donald Trump’s plans to end the Russo-Ukrainian war.
