At night and in the morning, Russian troops fired 16 times at the border areas and settlements of Sumy region.

“At night and in the morning, the Russians fired 16 times at the border areas and settlements of the Sumy region. 16 explosions were recorded. Sumy, Khotyn, Yunakivka, Krasnopilia communities were shelled,” the statement said.
The enemy attacked the Krasnopilia community with an FPV drone (1 explosion), dropped explosive devices from a UAV (4 explosions). In Khotyn community, the enemy launched guided aerial bombs (6 explosions). In Yunakivka community, launches of the guided aerial bombs were recorded (4 explosions).
In Sumy community, an enemy drone hit a private house located in the regional center. As a result of the attack, the house was destroyed and a fire broke out. Preliminary, no one was injured. The aftermath of the attack is underway.
“In the sky over Sumy region, air defense units shot down 8 enemy Shahed UAVs. Since the beginning of the year, our anti-aircraft gunners have already eliminated 343 Russian drones, each of which brought death and destruction to Ukraine,” the Sumy Regional Military Administration said.
As Ukrinform reported, a fire caused by a Russian drone strike was extinguished in Sumy.
