Over the past week, the Russian Federation has used 1,260 glide bombs, nearly 750 strike drones, and more than 10 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky reported this on Facebook.
He stated that Russia’s military production, which enables such terror, relies on three key factors: sanctions evasion schemes that provide Russia with critical components, high oil prices that should be lowered, and an insufficient number of Ukrainian long-range missiles and drones.
“We are grateful to all partners who are strengthening sanctions, but more global efforts are needed to decrease Russia’s oil industry capabilities. We will continue to expand the production of our missiles and drones – and we urge all partners to invest in Ukraine’s defense industry, because these are investments in the protection of life,” Zelensky emphasized.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, on the night of February 9, Ukraine’s Defense Forces shot down 70 Russian drones, while 74 others were lost from tracking.
