The Pokrovsk axis remains the most active on the eastern front. Today alone, there have been 33 assaults in that area. Significant enemy casualties are being recorded.

This was reported by Viktor Trehubov, Spokesperson for the Khortytsia Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, during a live broadcast, as conveyed by Ukrinform.

“The Pokrovsk direction remains the most active on the eastern front. Only today, there have been 33 assaults, and it’s not even evening yet,” he informed.

According to the Spokesperson, the main goal of the Russian forces now is to bypass the town of Pokrovsk from the west.

Trehubov emphasized that the Russian forces are currently deploying a “huge number of personnel” near Pokrovsk, but they are suffering huge losses.

The Spokesperson explained that the enemy is trying to secure small settlements to the south and west of Pokrovsk and push forward, even if only a little.

“The only advantage they have is infantry. They are trying to exploit that single advantage they possess, but they are incurring very large losses, and their progress does not look as threatening as it did some time ago. Of course, the threat remains, the pressure is still high, and the intensity is enormous, but we are recording that the enemy is suffering significant losses on the Pokrovsk front,” Trehubov concluded.

As reported by Ukrinform, since the beginning of the day, there have been 83 combat engagements between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian troops. Battles are ongoing on six fronts, with the highest enemy activity recorded in the Pokrovsk sector.
