Overnight, the Russians launched an attack on Ukraine’s gas infrastructure, and as of this morning, the energy sector remains under threat.

This was reported by Ukraine’s Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko, on his Facebook page, according to Ukrinform.

“Overnight, the enemy carried out an attack on gas infrastructure. As of this morning, the energy sector remains a target,” he wrote.

To minimize the potential consequences for the energy system, the transmission system operator has urgently implemented emergency electricity restrictions, the minister added.
