Units from Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, and the Special Operations Forces, in coordination with other Defense Forces units, struck the Saratov oil refinery on the night of February 11.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
The refinery primarily produces gasoline, fuel oil, and diesel — over 20 types of petroleum products in total — and plays a role in supplying the Russian army.
The General Staff confirmed the strike, stating that a fire broke out at the site.
The extent of the damage is still being assessed.
Ukrinform previously reported that a group of drones had again attacked an oil refinery in Saratov, Russia, on the night of February 11.
