One of the two power transmission lines supplying the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) has been damaged again due to Russian shelling.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Ministry of Energy via Telegram.
“As a result of enemy shelling, one of the two power lines supplying the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been de-energized. At present, the plant is connected to Ukraine’s energy system by only one power transmission line,” the statement reads.
It is noted that energy workers will begin restoring the damaged line as soon as the security situation allows.
As previously reported, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is “actively working” on rotating its mission at the ZNPP.
Additionally, the international environmental organization Greenpeace has called on the IAEA to prevent Russian attempts to restart operations at the occupied nuclear facility.
