Since the beginning of the day, as many as 74 combat clashes have taken place between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and the Russian troops, with the highest enemy activity recorded in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Kursk sectors.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, as relayed by Ukrinform.
“The enemy does not cease attempts to advance deeper into Ukrainian territory. As of now, the enemy has attacked the Defense Forces positions 74 times, with the most active fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, and Kursk sectors,” the report states.
Border areas continue to suffer from Russian artillery shelling. The affected settlements include Rudak, Marchykhyna Buda, Fotovyzh, Vilna Sloboda, Bila Bereza, Stepanivka, Seredyna Buda, Lypa, Stara Huta, Luhivka, Nova Huta, Tymonovychi, and Popivka in Sumy region, as well as Huta-Studenetska in Chernihiv region.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian invaders attacked the Ukrainian Defense Forces positions five times near the settlements of Kindrashivka, Petropavlivka, Novosilka, Pishchane, and Zahryzove, with three clashes still ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, the Russian units continue their attacks near Kopanky, Novomykhailivka, Novoliubivka, Yampolivka, and Kolodiazi. Since the beginning of the day, four enemy attacks have been repelled in this sector, with one battle still ongoing.
Two clashes have been recorded in the Siversk sector. The Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy assault near Bilohorivka, while one battle is still in progress.
In the Kramatorsk sector, three combat clashes are ongoing near Chasiv Yar and Vasiukivka.
In the Toretsk sector, eight enemy attacks have taken place, with the Russian forces being particularly active around Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. The Ukrainian troops are offering a strong defense, with three clashes still underway.
Fighting in the Pokrovsk sector remains the most intense today. Since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have launched 22 attacks on the Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Zvirove, Nadiivka, Uspenivka, Andriivka, Oleksandrivka, Dachne, and Shevchenko. The Ukrainian Defense Forces have repelled 17 of these attacks, while five battles are still ongoing.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the Russian troops have attempted 11 assaults on the Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Burlatske, and Rivnopil, with four clashes still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole sector, one enemy attack was repelled near Kamianske. Settlements such as Novopil and Kamianske suffered airstrikes from unguided rockets.
In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy deployed attack aviation near Piatykhatky.
No significant enemy activity was reported in the Kharkiv and Prydniprovske sectors.
In Russia’s Kursk region, the Ukrainian forces have repelled six Russian attacks today, while five battles are still ongoing. Additionally, the enemy has launched ten airstrikes, dropping 14 guided bombs, and conducted 293 artillery shellings, including 18 with multiple rocket launch systems.
The General Staff reports no significant changes in other directions.
As reported by Ukrinform, in the Novopavlivka sector, drone pilots from the unmanned systems battalion have destroyed three Russian Zala-type reconnaissance UAVs.
