Sybiha, Rubio discuss strategic partnership between countries

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga, during his first phone conversation with the new U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, discussed the strategic partnership between the two countries for mutual benefit.

He shared this in a post on the social media platform X on Thursday, as reported by Ukrinform.

“I had a good call with Secretary Rubio on ways to advance the Ukraine-US strategic partnership with mutual benefit. I thanked Secretary Rubio for reaffirming that the U.S. remains committed to supporting Ukraine,” Sybiha wrote.

The minister added that achieving a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace is a shared interest for both parties.

As reported by Ukrinform, in early February, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiga stated that he was hoping to have a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio “in the near future.”
