President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone call with President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda to discuss coordination efforts among Ukraine’s key allies.
He wrote this on social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.
“I had a phone call with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda and thanked him for Lithuania’s unwavering support of Ukraine and its people. We discussed coordination efforts among Ukraine’s key allies. I emphasized that for the security of Ukraine and all of Europe, it is crucial that Europe is a full participant in any negotiations to end the war,” the head of the Ukrainian state wrote.
The President also shared details of his recent contacts with U.S. President Donald Trump and representatives of his administration, as well as upcoming planned engagements.
Zelensky underscored that a ceasefire without strong security guarantees will not bring lasting and just peace to Ukraine.
“I stressed that the United States must be a key participant in providing security guarantees for Ukraine,” the President added.
As reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk discussed the conditions necessary for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
