Zelensky, Norwegian PM discuss production of long-range missiles, drones in Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre discussed cooperation in the defense industry, with special attention paid to the Ukrainian production of long-range missiles and drones.

The head of the Ukrainian state announced this on social media, Ukrinform reports.

“During my meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, we discussed the efforts needed to achieve a just and lasting peace. A key focus was on Ukraine’s arms production, particularly the production of long-range missiles and drones,” Zelensky wrote.

He noted that Norway is already directly investing in the Ukrainian domestic defense industry, and the parties agreed to continue this cooperation.

Zelensky expressed gratitude to Norway for all its support for Ukraine since the very beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion and for increasing its assistance this year.

“We expect defense support to continue growing throughout the year—this is what can ensure Ukraine’s strong position,” he added.

As reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof discussed the development of reliable security guarantees and defense needs of Ukraine.
