Deputy Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Andriy Kashuba held meetings with the leadership of the Pivdennyi Commercial Sea Port and Odesa Commercial Sea Port.
That’s according to the Development Ministry, Ukrinform reports.
“The key issues include the planned financial indicators for 2025, the efficiency of the port fleet, the prospects for transshipment development and the possibility of implementing infrastructure projects,” the report says.
Kashuba stressed that it is important for Ukraine not only to maintain the volume of seaport operations, but also to introduce new technologies and use its capabilities effectively.

Following the meetings, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development and port leadership agreed to revise the financial plans of enterprises, intensify work on investment projects, and prioritize infrastructure modernization. It is noted that the Ministry will continue to promote the development of ports and their adaptation to modern challenges.
As reported, Ukrainian seaports’ cargo turnover in 2024 reached a record high of 97.2 million tonnes; 76.4 million tonnes of cargo were exported to 52 countries of the world via the Ukrainian maritime corridor.
