Over 1,800 citizens applied to recruitment centers over past week – Ministry of Defense

Over the past week, 1,808 new applications were submitted to recruitment centers in Ukraine.

That’s according to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

“A year ago, in February 2024, the first recruitment center of the Ukrainian army opened in Lviv. Today, there are already 48 centers, which provide consultations and assist potential candidates in joining the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Over this period, 41,296 citizens have applied to the centers, including 1,808 over the past week,” the statement reads.

The highest activity has been observed among residents of Kyiv and the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Additionally, more than 8,500 volunteers have already started the process of enlistment for military service to soon join the army. The most in-demand positions are UAV operators.

The Ministry of Defense said that 48 recruitment centers are currently operating in Ukraine, including one online center.

Most of these centers are located in administrative service centers and provide strictly confidential consultations. Conducting mobilization activities or issuing draft notices by notification groups on the premises of these centers is strictly prohibited.

In the “Reserve+” app, those willing to join the Ukrainian Defense Forces most frequently choose military professions in the following fields: command staff, UAV operations, IT, transport, and infantry.
