Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has called for action to support Ukraine and strengthen Europe’s security.
He said this in a post on social media platform X on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
“Ukraine’s security is part of European security. Let’s act together,” he wrote.
Nauseda stressed that it is necessary to “act now to support Ukraine and boost Europe’s security”.
The politician also published a list of such actions:
- Real security guarantees for Ukraine – NATO membership must stay on the table;
- Russia must be held accountable for war crimes, and sanctions must stay until aggression stops;
- Urgent funding for weapons and €10B for Ukraine’s defense industry;
- Seizure of Russia’s frozen assets and imposing tariffs on Russia/Belarus imports;
- Fast-track Ukraine-EU accession – target date by 2030.
As Ukrinform reported, the Lithuanian Defense Ministry announced a new military aid package for the Ukrainian army on February 19.
