Airstrike on Kherson: Search continues for mother of wounded twins under rubble

The condition of twins wounded in an air strike on Kherson is moderate, their mother is still being searched for under the rubble.

The Kherson Regional Military Administration reports on the condition of the children with reference to the director of the regional children’s hospital, Inna Kholodnyak, Ukrinform reports.

“The twins’ condition is moderate, they are under the supervision of medical workers,” Kholodnyak said.

It is noted that at midnight, Russian terrorists dropped a guided aerial bomb on the house where the 14-year-old brother and sister live, and their apartment was completely destroyed. The children have mine-blast injuries and an acute stress reaction. The twins are currently undergoing further examination.

At the time of the attack, the children’s mother was in the bedroom, where the main impact occurred.

The State Emergency Service reported on Facebook that search operations are ongoing.

“Rescuers are dismantling the rubble using special equipment and tools. People may be trapped under the rubble,” the statement said.

They inspect the damaged floors, apartments and surrounding areas.

As reported by Ukrinform, at night, Russians carried out air strikes with 10 guided bombs on settlements in the right-bank Kherson region. In particular, three bombs attacked residential buildings in Kherson. One of the strikes hit a nine-story building in the city’s central district, completely destroying the entrance.
