Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone call with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, during which he expressed gratitude for Denmark’s military support and joint weapons production.
The Ukrainian leader shared details of the discussion on social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.
“I had a good conversation with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen. As always, we discuss European affairs together, with all partners, through respectful dialogue and full mutual understanding. I thanked Denmark for supplying weapons and for our expanding joint defense production. Mette also shared details from her recent talks with other leaders,” Zelensky said.
He emphasized Ukraine’s commitment to achieving a true and lasting peace — “the peace we all strive for, the peace we work for, and the peace that must be securely guaranteed.”
During the Munich Security Conference, Zelensky and Frederiksen discussed countering Russia’s shadow fleet, strengthening defense assistance, and coordinating positions with international partners.
Zelensky also expressed appreciation for Denmark’s investment in Ukraine’s defense industry, known as the “Danish model,” which has been successfully implemented for over a year.
