Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham, focusing on the importance of security guarantees for Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian leader shared details of the conversation on social media platform X on Wednesday.
“I spoke with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham. We greatly appreciate the bicameral and bipartisan support of the U.S. Congress to the Ukrainian people in our fight against the Russian aggression,” Zelensky said.
He praised Graham’s constructive stance, emphasizing his significant efforts toward achieving peace.
“It’s all-important that security guarantees remain on the table—and that they work for Ukraine, for real and lasting peace,’ Zelensky said.
Earlier reports said that U.S. President Donald Trump launched an unfounded attack on Zelensky on Wednesday, calling him a “comedian” and a “dictator,” while also accusing him of refusing to hold elections in Ukraine.
