Prosecutor’s Office: Russians drop seven guided bombs on Kostiantynivka

In the morning of February 22, Russians dropped seven FAB-250 bombs with unified planning and correction modules (UPMC) on Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. Two people were killed and three others were injured.

This was reported in Telegram by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Ukrinform reports.

“On February 22, 2025, at 08:20, the Russian army struck 3 times at Kostiantynivka. Preliminary, the Russian Armed Forces used FAB-250 with UPMC,” the statement said.

It is noted that a 62-year-old man was killed as a result of one of the munitions.

Soon after, the Russians dropped two more bombs on the city. A 56-year-old woman sustained a mine-blast injury in her apartment. She received medical assistance.

Eight minutes later, the prosecutor’s office added, the enemy hit a high-rise building. A 72-year-old man was trapped under the rubble and sustained injuries incompatible with life. His wife was taken to the hospital. A 61-year-old resident of the town who was inside the house was also wounded. They were diagnosed with mine-blast injuries and cut wounds.

Another civilian is likely to be under the rubble. The final number of victims is being established.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kostiantynivka District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched in the criminal proceedings on the fact of committing a war crime (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As reported, the strikes on Kostyantynivka damaged 10 multi-storey buildings, 21 private houses, three industrial buildings, a shop, 16 garages, two power lines, two gas pipelines and 9 cars.
