In Sumy region, Russians fired on the civilian infrastructure of the Krasnopil community in the morning.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
“Under the procedural supervision of the Sumy District Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the commission of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to the investigation, on February 22, 2025, in the morning, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, the occupiers attacked the civilian infrastructure of the Krasnopil community, as a result of which a 74-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized,” the statement said.
It is noted that her house was destroyed to the ground. According to preliminary data, the attack was carried out by drones and artillery fire.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.
The pre-trial investigation is being carried out by investigators of the Sumy District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Sumy Region.
