In the past 24 hours, on February 21, there were 90 recorded combat clashes between Ukraine’s Defense Forces and the Russian invaders. The Ukrainian troops repelled 29 enemy assaults in the Pokrovsk sector.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, publishing operational information as of 08:00 on Saturday, February 22.
Yesterday, the Russian forces launched one missile strike on the Ukrainian positions and settlements, using two missiles. Additionally, they carried out 72 airstrikes, dropping 92 guided aerial bombs.
Furthermore, the enemy conducted over 5,000 shelling attacks, including 130 from multiple launch rocket systems, and deployed 3,050 kamikaze drones for strikes.
The Russian troops targeted multiple areas with airstrikes, including Zolochiv and Borova in Kharkiv region; Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk, Hrodivka, Lysivka, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, and Novopil in Donetsk region; and Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia region.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s missile and artillery forces struck seven areas of enemy troop and equipment concentration, as well as three Russian artillery systems
In the Kharkiv sector, the enemy attempted to break through the Ukrainian defenses twice near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, five Russian attacks took place. The Ukrainian forces repelled an assault near Zahryzove.
In the Lyman sector, the Russians launched seven attacks attempting to penetrate defenses near Kopanky, Novoliubivka, Terny, Yampolivka, and Kolodiazi.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian forces attacked three times near Vasiukivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the Russian troops carried out 13 assaults in the areas of Toretsk, Krymske, Shcherbynivka, and Dyliivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders stopped 29 Russian assaults near Vodiane Druhe, Yelyzavetivka, Svyrydonivka, Promin, Pishchane, Serhiivka, Andriivka, Ulakly, Udachne, Nadiivka, and Molodetske.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy launched five attacks toward Kostiantynopil and Burlatske.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian troops stormed the Ukrainian positions three times near Shcherbaky and Piatykhatky.
In the Siversk, Huliaipole, and Prydniprovske sectors, no active enemy operations were recorded.
No signs of Russian offensive group formations were observed in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces continue operations in Russia’s Kursk region. Over the past day, the Russian troops carried out 31 airstrikes, dropping 43 guided bombs, and conducted 437 shelling attacks, including three from MLRS. The Ukrainian forces repelled 15 enemy assaults.
