On the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion, a march and rally of the Ukrainian community organized by the LUkraine association took place in Luxembourg.
The rally was attended by hundreds of local residents, representatives of the diplomatic corps of several countries, MEPs and high-ranking officials of the European Commission.
The demonstration was held under the slogan “Justice for Ukraine – Peace for Europe,” an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today, just as at the beginning of the full-scale invasion, we declare: we will fight, we will not surrender. Never. Just like 11 years ago, we continue to fight for our unity, sovereignty and independence. Independence not only of Ukraine, but also of Europe,” said Charge d’Affaires of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg Natalia Anoshyna in her speech.
She emphasized that Europe must finally realize that peace in Ukraine is the key to regional and global stability.
Mykola Zharov, President of the Ukrainian-Luxembourg Association LUkraine, emphasized that “Ukraine wants peace, but it is not for sale.” These words were met with applause.
“Justice is non-negotiable. Because true peace – lasting peace – cannot be built on betrayal, cannot be built on fear. It must be built on truth, on justice, on security. Justice for Ukraine equals peace for Europe,” he concluded his speech with these words.
As reported, on the occasion of the third anniversary of Russia’s large-scale invasion, representatives of the Ukrainian community around the world are holding rallies calling for continued support for Ukraine in its fight against the Russian aggressor.
