One person was killed and five more were injured in Russia’s shelling of border communities in the Sumy region.
That’s according to the Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office, Ukrinform reports.
“On February 24, 2025, the occupiers shelled border communities in the Sumy region with various types of weapons throughout the day. According to preliminary data, the enemy dropped guided aerial bombs on civilian infrastructure in the village of Myropillia of the Sumy district. A couple of pensioners, both 69 years old, and a 71-year-old man were wounded,” the report says.

The occupiers also fired artillery at a farm in Shevchenkove village of the Velyka Pysarivka community in the Okhtyrka district. A 44-year-old worker was killed and two others were wounded.
As reported, pre-trial investigations into war crimes have been launched under the procedural guidance of the Sumy District Prosecutor’s Office and the Okhtyrka District Prosecutor’s Office. Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling.
