Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom) and Canada’s Roshel have signed an agreement to jointly produce armored personnel carriers (APCs) in Ukraine.

In a post on Telegram, the Ukrainian company said it would receive technical documentation and necessary components for the production of Roshel armored vehicles, Ukrinform reports.

Herman Smetanin, Ukraine’s Minister for Strategic Industries, said that Roshel’s armored vehicles are already in use by Ukrainian forces. Producing them domestically will speed up deliveries to combat units, strengthen the Ukrainian economy, and provide local manufacturers with access to advanced technology.
