About 15,000 civilians remain in Kostiantynivka

There are still 15,000 civilians in Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. The evacuation continues.

Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, announced this on Ukrainian television, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Four months ago, there were more than 30,000 people, and now 15,000 remain in the city of Kostiantynivka,” Filashkin said.

At the same time, he added that people are leaving the city very slowly, although local authorities are doing everything possible to evacuate residents from the dangerous city.

“We are currently working on this to get as many people out of the city as possible. Unfortunately, people are leaving very, very slowly,” Filashkin added.

As reported by Ukrinform, on February 26, Russian troops dropped at least six FAB-250 bombs on Kostiantynivka and the surrounding area. Five people were killed and 11 injured. Rescue efforts are underway.
