Budanov on death of Ukrinform journalist and her husband: retribution to come

Terrorist Russia continues to kill Ukrainian civilians with its drones and missiles. However, retribution for all Russian war criminals will inevitably come.

This was stated by Chief of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence Kyrylo Budanov on Facebook, following the death of Ukrinform journalist Tetiana Kulyk and her husband Pavlo Ivanchov as a result of a Russian drone attack.

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the death of Ukrinform journalist Tetiana Kulyk and her husband Pavlo Ivanchov, a surgeon-oncologist and Head of the Department of Surgery at the National Medical University, in a Russian strike. During the night attack on February 26, 2025, an enemy drone hit their home in Bucha district. Just the day before, we had spoken with the Ukrinform team during an interview about the current difficult stage of the Russo-Ukrainian war,” said Budanov.

“As an experienced editor and journalist, Tetiana, who had been telling stories of Ukraine’s resistance to Russian invaders for many years, was preparing this interview for publication. Unfortunately, the vile Moscow once again took the lives of two intelligent and dedicated professionals, patriots, and citizens of Ukraine,” Budanov added.

The Chief of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence expressed his condolences to all the relatives, loved ones, and colleagues of Tetiana Kulyk and Pavlo Ivanchov.

“Eternal honor and memory! Retribution for all Russian war criminals will surely come!” reads the post.
