U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the possibility of returning Russian-occupied territories to Ukraine has been discussed and will remain a topic of negotiations.
He made this remark during a meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the White House, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“There are a lot of areas that have been taken. We’ve talked about it,” Trump said in response to a question about whether the return of occupied territories, including Crimea, was being discussed.
He emphasized that this issue will continue to be addressed in future negotiations.
“We will be talking about that to see if we can get a lot of them back for Ukraine, if it’s possible,” Trump stressed.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, the U.S. is holding negotiations with Ukraine and Russia to end the war. According to Trump, progress has already been made at this stage.
