The government has adopted a decree that allows civilians who were previously held in Russian captivity to receive a deferral from mobilization.

This is said on the Defense Ministry’s website, Ukrinform reports.

“Civilians who were held captive as a result of Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine have been granted the right to receive a deferral from mobilization… In order to receive a deferment from military service during mobilization, it is necessary to provide an extract from the Unified Register of persons in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal liberty as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine has been established,” the statement says.

As reported, the government approved three important decisions in the defense sector.

Foreigners and stateless persons, as well as members of their families who are legally performing military service in the State Special Transport Service under contract, will be paid a one-time financial assistance.

Another government decision regulates the provision of medical care by medical workers of military units, military institutions, and institutions participating in hostilities and performing combat missions without obtaining a license to conduct business activity related to health care practice.

The third states that the territorial center of recruitment and social support will be open for citizens around the clock.
