Emergency electricity outages have been introduced in the Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
DTEK Group posted on Telegram that outages had been introduced at the request of Ukraine’s state energy operator, Ukrenergo, Ukrinform reports.
The emergency blackouts in the two regions are a result of Russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Industrial consumers are being disconnected first, while restrictions for residential users are applied only in specific cases.
DTEK emphasized that the energy situation remains fluid, urging residents to follow updates from regional power distribution operators.
Earlier reports said that a DTEK facility in the Dnipropetrovsk region was damaged in a Russian attack on February 26.
