Zelensky holds talks with U.S. Senators ahead of meeting with Trump

Before his meeting with President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held talks with a bipartisan delegation of U.S. Senators in Washington.

The head of the Ukrainian state reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“An important visit to the United States. In Washington, I met with a bipartisan delegation from the U.S. Senate. Our discussions focused on the continued military assistance for Ukraine, relevant legislative initiatives, my meeting with President Trump, efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace, our vision for ending the war, and the importance of robust security guarantees,” Zelensky said.

He emphasized that Ukraine is proud to have strategic partners and friends like the United States.

“We are grateful for the unwavering bicameral and bipartisan support for Ukraine throughout all three years of Russia’s full-scale aggression,” the President added.

As previously reported, on February 28, President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting the United States. His schedule includes a meeting at the White House with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office.

At 13:00 Washington time (20:00 Kyiv time), both presidents are expected to make statements to the media and hold a joint press conference.








Before that, they will sign the so-called minerals agreement – a bilateral Agreement on Establishing Rules and Conditions for the Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund.

Later, Zelensky will visit the Hudson Institute and, in the evening, meet with representatives of the Ukrainian community at the Ukrainian House.
