American actors Pedro Pascal and Misha Collins, along with historian and writer Timothy Snyder, have expressed their support for Ukraine following President Volodymyr Zelensky’s meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump on February 28.
According to Ukrinform, their statements were shared on social media.
“Game of Thrones” star Pedro Pascal posted several Instagram stories in support of Ukraine and Zelensky.

“Courage has a name – Ukraine,” he wrote.
He also shared two photos of Zelensky, calling him a leader and urging people to “stay on the right side of history.”

Meanwhile, American actor and United24 fundraising ambassador Misha Collins, who visited Ukraine in 2024, wrote on X: “What I saw was two pompous, traitorous cowards trying to force a courageous leader to kiss their rings. So embarrassed for my country. Volodymyr Zelensky, we’re thankful to you and all of Ukraine for standing up to these bullies.”

American historian and writer Timothy Snyder also posted several comments about the events at the White House, backing Zelensky in his dispute with Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance.

“Trump and Vance act as if the problem is that Ukraine is resisting an ongoing Russian invasion. The problem is the ongoing Russian invasion. If they want to use American power to stop the war, apply it to the aggressor. Abusing the victim is not going to end a war of aggression,” Snyder wrote on X.
He emphasized that Russia does not want to end the war, and the Trump administration has shown no ability to induce Russia to end the war. And so, predictably, the Trump administration blames the victim, blames Ukraine, he added.
“Given that the Trump people did nothing to induce Russia to end the war, it’s fair to conclude that the whole idea of pursuing peace was just a pretext to renew relations with Russia,” Snyder concluded.
The meeting between the Ukrainian and U.S. presidents at the White House on February 28 was cut short after disagreements arose over facts about the war in Ukraine and trust in negotiations with Putin. A deal on mineral resources between the two countries was not signed.
Following this incident, European leaders expressed their support for Ukraine.
Commenting on the situation, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that such disputes, like the one that occurred at the White House during his meeting with Donald Trump, are not good for either side. However, he emphasized that Ukraine “cannot change our Ukrainian attitude toward the Russians” and does not want them to continue killing Ukrainians.
