Fifty-seven combat engagements have been recorded between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invasion troops since the beginning of the day as fighting is raging in seven directions, with the enemy launching most attacks in the Pokrovsk axis.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform learned.
Today, mortar and artillery strikes by the Russian army affected Brantsivka, Bratenytsia, and Hirky in Sumy region, Mkhy, Halahanivka, and Mykolaivka in Chernihiv region, and Tymofiivka in Kharkiv region.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian troops hit Okhrimivka, Makarove, and Hraniv with guided aerial bombs.
In the Kupiansk axis, the invaders attacked three times in the areas of Novo-osynove and Zahryzove, and two battles are ongoing.
In the Lyman axis, the Russian army attacked the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces near Nove and Novomykhailivka six times as four battles are ongoing. “Our soldiers are firmly holding their defense and inflicting losses on the enemy,” the General Staff reported.
Russian warplanes attacked Borova and Bohuslavka.
In the Toretsk axis, ten combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day in the areas of Krymske, Dachne, Toretsk and Diliivka. One engagement is in progress.
Kostiantynivka and Toretsk were subjected to enemy air strikes.
In the Pokrovsk axis, the Russian army made 15 attempts to push the Defense Forces from their positions near Nova Poltavka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Pokrovsk, Pishchane, Udachne, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Andriivka, and Ulakli. Ukraine’s defenders are holding back the onslaught: 13 attacks have already been repelled, two clashes are underway.
The Russians hit Novopavlivka and Novoukrainka with guided aerial bombs.
In the Novopavlivka axis, the invaders attacked five times in the areas of Kostiantynopil and Skudne.
In the Huliaipole axis, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy assaults near Pryvilne and Charivne.
Russian airstrikes targeted Ternove, Huliaipole, and Zaliznychne.
Three clashes took place in the Orikhiv axis. Ukraine’s defenders have held off one enemy attack while the Russians, with air support, are attempting to advance in the areas of Piatykhatky and Kamianske.
One battle is ongoing in the Prydniprovia axis.
In the Kursk axis, Ukrainian defenders have repelled nine enemy attacks, while two more battles are ongoing. Russian troops have hit positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and settlements using 17 guided bombs, as well as fired off 210 artillery rounds.
In the Kharkiv, Siversk, and Kramatorsk axes, the invaders have not yet launched offensive missions.
No significant changes have been recorded in the remaining axes of the front.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russian army destroyed several positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region.
