Zelensky believes relations with Trump can be saved

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine expressed confidence that his relationship with U.S. President Donald Trump can be saved after the spat that arose during negotiations in the White House.

He said this in response to a question from the Fox News host in an interview that aired on Friday, Ukrinform reports.

“Yes, of course, because these relations are more than relations between the two presidents,” Zelensky noted.

He explained that there are strong ties and relations between the peoples of Ukraine and the United States. The Ukrainian president once again thanked the American people for their support.

At the same time, he noted that he does not feel guilty for what happened during the negotiations in the Oval Office. Zelensky stressed the need for openness and honesty, and that “I’m not sure we did anything bad.”

As Ukrinform reported earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said that the meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday did not go too well. The Ukrainian head of state left the White House early.
