
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has just arrived at Lancaster House in London, where a summit of European leaders will take place to discuss a plan for peace in Ukraine.
According to Sky News, as reported by Ukrinform, Zelensky was warmly welcomed by UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
They had a brief conversation at the entrance before heading inside to participate in the urgent international summit.
Just a few hundred meters from the venue, a group of pro-Ukrainian demonstrators gathered to show their support for Ukraine and President Zelensky, The Guardian reports. They remained outside the security perimeter.
As previously reported by Ukrinform, an international leaders’ meeting is taking place in London on March 2 to discuss strengthening Ukraine’s position, ongoing military support, increased economic pressure on Russia, ways to achieving a just peace, and developing strong security guarantees for Ukraine
Leaders from Italy, France, Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Spain, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Czechia, and Romania will participate in the summit. The Turkish Foreign Minister, NATO Secretary General, and Presidents of the European Commission and the European Council will also attend.
