Russian forces shell Nikopol district 17 times on Sunday, injuring civilians

Russian forces launched 17 attacks on the Nikopol district in the Dnipropetrovsk region on March 2, causing injuries and destruction.

Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to Lysak, Russian forces used heavy artillery, FPV drones, and UAV-dropped explosives to strike the district center and the Marhanets community.

Several civilians were wounded in Nikopol. A man, whose condition is assessed as moderate, remains under medical supervision, while two injured women will receive treatment at home.

The shelling damaged a business facility and local infrastructure, including a kindergarten, seven private homes, and eight outbuildings. Vehicles and a power line were also damaged.

Earlier reports indicated that an 84-year-old man and two women, aged 44 and 82, were also injured in previous Russian attacks on Nikopol.
