Starmer speaks with Trump, Macron after meeting Zelensky – media

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer held phone calls with U.S. President Donald Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron following his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in London.

According to The Independent, citing the PA news agency, Starmer spoke with both leaders after welcoming Zelensky to Downing Street.

The report notes that Starmer’s call with Trump is the second in two days, as he “seeks to act as a bridge between Europe and America and keep the transatlantic NATO alliance together.” The details of these discussions have not been disclosed.

Zelensky and Starmer met in London on Saturday to discuss steps toward a just peace, security guarantees, and concrete measures to strengthen Ukraine’s position.

On Sunday, March 2, the UK will host a summit of European leaders focused on Ukraine.
