Over the past day, March 1, as many as 97 combat engagements were recorded between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian invaders on the frontline.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook regarding the situation as of 8:00 on Sunday, March 2.
Yesterday, the Russians carried out two missile and 99 airstrikes, used two missiles, and dropped 146 guided aerial bombs.
Additionally, the enemy conducted over 5,200 shelling attacks, including 180 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and deployed 3,067 kamikaze drones for strikes.
The Russian forces carried out airstrikes, particularly in the areas of the settlements of Okhrimivka, Makarove, Hraniv, Bohuslavka, Buhaiivka, Borova, Kostiantynivka, Toretsk, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Novoukrainka, Udachne, Hrodivka, Rodinske, Bahatyr, Komar, Shevchenko, Ternove, Huliaipole, Stepnohirsk, Zaliznychnе, Piatykhatky, Antonivka, and Mykolaivka.
Over the past day, the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit four areas of personnel, weapons, and military equipment concentration, three command posts, and four Russian artillery systems.
In the Kupiansk sector, the Russian forces launched three offensive actions near Novoosynove and Zahryzove, but were repelled.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched 11 attacks. They attempted to break through the Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Nove, Novomykhailivka, Yampolivka, Makiivka, and in the direction of Katerynivka.
In the Toretsk sector, the Russians carried out 15 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Krymske, Dachne, Toretsk, and Dyliivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 27 assault actions by the Russian invaders toward Nova Poltavka, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Promin, Kotliarivka, Nadiivka, Pokrovsk, Pishchane, Udachne, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, Andriivka, and Ulakly.
In the Novopavlivka sector, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Burlatske, and Skudne.
In the Huliaipole sector, the Russian troops attacked the positions of the Ukrainian defenders three times in the areas of Pryvilne and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian invaders launched four assaults on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the areas of Piatykhatky, Nesterianka, and Kamianske.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the Ukrainian forces successfully repelled one Russian attack.
No signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected in the Volyn and Polissia sectors.
In the Kharkiv, Siversk, and Kramatorsk sectors, the Russian forces did not conduct offensive operations over the past day.
In the Kursk sector, the Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks. The Russians carried out 440 shelling attacks, including four from multiple launch rocket systems, as well as 31 airstrikes, dropping 47 guided aerial bombs.
As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of the Russian troops since February 24, 2022, amount to approximately 876,720 personnel.
