Zelensky, Charles III’s meeting lasts nearly an hour

King Charles III of Great Britain held a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at his estate in Norfolk on Sunday evening, the meeting lasted about an hour.

This was reported by Sky News, Ukrinform saw.

Zelensky arrived for the meeting by helicopter from Lancaster House in London, where a summit of European leaders on Ukraine was taking place, and was personally met by King Charles III outside the estate.

It is reported that the British authorities agreed to the meeting in response to a request that came the Ukrainian president, writes The Guardian.

A short statement from Buckingham Palace said: “This evening, His Majesty The King received the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in the Saloon at Sandringham House.”

The Palace added that “the president was warmly received, and the meeting lasted just under an hour.”

No other details of the meeting were provided.

The first time the heads of state met at Buckingham Palace was in 2023. Last year, on the second anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion, the King delivered a strong message in support of Ukraine, speaking of the brutal aggression that Ukrainians have faced and hailing the resilience and strength of the Ukrainian people.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a summit of international leaders on support for Ukraine was held in the British capital, London, on March 2.
