
A Russian drone has hit a children’s medical facility in Sumy, causing a blackout in some parts of the city.
According to Ukrinform, the Sumy Regional Military Administration reported this on Facebook.
“Today, on the night of March 4, the enemy attacked the civilian infrastructure of the city of Sumy. As a result of a UAV strike, the premises of a children’s medical institution were damaged,” the statement reads.
Emergency services are working to localize and extinguish the fire.
According to preliminary reports, there were no casualties. The consequences of the strike are being clarified, the RMA added.
Sumy’s acting mayor Artem Kobzar clarified that the Shahed hit a polyclinic.
“There are also problems with electricity supply. Two hospitals are running on generators. There is no electricity in some parts of the city,” he said.
Earlier it was reported that explosions occurred in Sumy during an attack by enemy drones.
