Ukraine’s forces down 65 Russian drones, 32 lost from tracking

The Defense Forces of Ukraine shot down 65 drones used by Russia in an attack on Ukraine on the evening of March 3, while 32 more drones were lost in location tracking.

This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Starting from 19:00 on March 3, the Russian forces launched an attack using 99 strike drones of the Shahed type, as well as decoy UAVs of various types. The drones were launched from multiple directions, including Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, Bryansk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.

Ukrainian aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare (EW) units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and Defense Forces worked to repel the aerial assault.

By 9:00 on March 4, confirmed drone shoot-downs had taken place in Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.

Additionally, 32 decoy drones were lost in location tracking but without any negative consequences.

As a result of the drone attack, damage was reported in Odesa, Sumy, and Donetsk regions.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the evening of March 3, a Russian drone strike in Odesa damaged energy infrastructure, leading to emergency power outages in parts of the city.
