Leader of the political party All-Ukrainian Union Batkivshchyna (Fatherland) Yulia Tymoshenko has confirmed information about talks with the American team.
Tymoshenko announced this on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform.
“Ukraine, as President Zelensky has clearly stated, is ready for negotiations to end the war under the strong leadership of President Trump,” Tymoshenko noted.
She informed that the Batkivshchyna team is holding talks with all allies who can help secure a just peace as soon as possible.
“Currently, and I have said this many times, there can be no discussion about holding any elections in Ukraine,” the opposition leader added.
As previously reported, Politico wrote that four high-ranking representatives from U.S. President Donald Trump’s inner circle held secret negotiations with Yulia Tymoshenko and members of Petro Poroshenko’s European Solidarity party.
According to Ukrinform, President Volodymyr Zelensky stated at the “Ukraine. Year 2025” forum that holding elections remains impossible due to both legislative constraints and the numerous security and democratic challenges associated with the process.
