
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen have discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Nordic-Baltic Eight (NB8) during their meeting in Copenhagen.
According to Ukrinform, Umerov stated this on Facebook.
He said the main topic of discussion was preparations for the Nordic-Baltic Eight meeting, which will take place today with the participation of Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia.
“We expect important decisions that will help strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities. Our priority remains meeting the urgent needs of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, while also working on long-term strategic projects with our partners,” Umerov said.
He stressed that Denmark remains a reliable partner for Ukraine.
Umerov thanked Denmark, the Danish people, and personally Minister Poulsen for the constructive dialogue and unwavering support for Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky earlier thanked the NB8 countries for providing EUR 26 billion in military aid to Ukraine.
