Blaze erupts near Russia’s Taganrog after drone attack

Late Saturday, March 8, drones again attacked Russia’s Rostov region as the village of Ryazhenoe near Taganrog was affected.

This was reported on Telegram by the acting governor, Yuriy Slyusar, Ukrinform saw.

“A drone alert has been declared in Rostov region. In the village of Ryazhenoe, Matveyevo-Kurgansky district, a fire broke out in a private house, caused by drone debris amid an air defense effort,” the statement says.

Local social media users wrote about “debris falling” in the village of Ryazhenoe and that some UAVs were heading toward the city of Taganrog.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the night of March 8, drones operated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked an oil refinery in Russia’s Leningrad region.
