
On March 8, the Russian invasion forces 116 times shelled Sumy region, leaving at least one civilian injured, causing a fire and damage.
That’s according to the Sumy Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
“Throughout the day, the Russians have carried out 116 attacks on border territories and settlements in Sumy region. A total of 230 explosions have been recorded,” the report says, adding that 14 communities were affected.
In the Khotyn community, a Russian UAV dropped a grenade, and MLRS strikes caused 36 explosions. As a result of the attacks, non-residential premises, four cars, and two housedholds sustained damage.
The enemy hit the Znob-Novgorodskyi community with rocket salvos, causing 21 explosions. A civilian was injured in the area.
Also, on March 8, at about 22:00, an enemy UAV crashed in a residential area of Sumy, resulting in a fire.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Russian military shelled Sumy region 25 times in the early hours of Saturday.
