Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Swedish Defense Minister Pal Jonson met in Copenhagen to discuss key areas of cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
According to Ukrinform, Umerov shared details of the meeting on Facebook.
He said that a top priority remains the prompt delivery of military aid – “logistics speed matters, so we analyzed ways to optimize it.”

“A separate focus was cooperation in the defense sector. We have concrete developments regarding joint industrial projects and have identified key areas for investment,” Umerov said.
The ministers also discussed prospects for collaboration in satellite communications and space.

Additionally, Umerov said that Sweden was already preparing a new major military aid package. “We analyzed Ukraine’s most urgent needs to ensure this support maximally strengthens our forces,” he said.
Umerov thanked Jonson for maintaining consistent communication and for Sweden’s readiness to make quick and important decisions.
