On Monday, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen confirmed that Copenhagen is ready in principle to participate in the European peacekeeping force deployed in Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by The Guardian, citing comments from Danish media.

It is noted that the statement by the Danish Foreign Minister came after he received a key parliamentary approval to participate in the European peacekeeping force in Ukraine.

In a speech after a meeting with the Foreign Affairs Committee, Rasmussen said that it was important for Europe to “send the right signals to both Putin and Washington.”

The article says that no decision on the deployment of peacekeeping forces has been agreed upon, and it was rather an agreement in principle in case and when appropriate circumstances arise under the ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
