Ukrainian forces down 130 Russian drones, 42 vanish from radar

Ukraine’s Defense Forces have shot down 130 Russian drones, while 42 enemy UAVs failed to reach their targets.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

From 18:00 on Sunday, March 9, Russian forces launched an attack on Ukraine using 176 Shahed strike drones and various decoy UAVs from multiple locations, including Shatalovo, Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, as well as Chauda (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The aerial assault was countered by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces.

As of 08:00 on Monday, March 10, Ukrainian forces downed 130 Shahed drones and other types of UAVs in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.

Additionally, 42 enemy decoy drones disappeared from radar and failed to reach their targets.

The Russian drone attack caused damage in the Kharkiv, Poltava, and Kyiv regions.
