
The Government of Iceland contributed over EUR 2 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
This was reported by the Ministry of Energy, Ukrinform saw.
“Iceland transferred over EUR 2 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, bringing the country’s total contribution to the Fund to over EUR 5.6 million,” the report says.
It is noted that in 2023-2024, the country made four tranches to the Fund. The money was directed to the purchase of equipment for enterprises of Ukraine’s fuel and energy sector in Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.
As reported, the Australian government donated EUR 6 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
