In Poland, the crowdfunding platform Zrzutka.pl has raised 1.2 million zlotys (USD 300,000) for an ambulance for the Ukrainian army in a day and a half.

The collection was organized by a reputable Polish journalist Sławomir Sierakowski with the support of a well-known American historian Timothy Snyder, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In total, as of today, about 11 thousand people in Poland have transferred funds for an ambulance for the Armed Forces. Given the rapidly raised funds for the first ambulance, Sierakowski immediately announced a collection for a second ambulance for the Armed Forces.

As reported by Ukrinform, all funds raised in Poland for the ambulances will be transferred to the account of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, which will purchase the ambulances.

The Ukrainian platform United24 is also joining the Polish campaign. Funds for ambulances for the Ukrainian army will also be raised among companies at the international conference Impact CEE to be held in May in Poznan.

In June-July 2022, Sierakowski organized a fundraiser on Bayraktar for Ukraine. At that time, the “Let’s Buy Bayraktar for Ukraine” campaign raised PLN 22.5 million (about USD 5 million). In response to this fundraising, the Turkish company Baykar Makina donated the “Polish” Bayraktar to Ukraine for free, and the funds raised in Poland for the drone were spent on humanitarian projects in Ukraine.
